A Consistant Routine Will Keep Your Skin Looking Younger Longer

If you want to keep your skin looking younger it is important to have a good skin care routine or regimen. A consistent procedure that you follow daily will bring great benefits to the appearance of your skin.

Before you start any skin care plan determine your skin type. Not all products work on all skin types therefore consistently using a product that does not compliment your skin can be damaging. Research or ask a dermatologist to find out if you have dry, oily, sensitive or normal skin. If you already know then you are a step ahead to keeping your skin looking younger, radiant and healthy.

It is also important to know how to use your skin anti aging products. For example, apply moisturizers while your skin is still damp, cleanse before you moisturize, remove make-up, apply your products in upward motions so that you penetrate the skin. Never over moisturize or apply "Extra" it does you no good what-so-ever here less is more.

Here is a basic routine that works for most people only using a product that suites your skin type. keeping your skin looking younger and refreshed will also boost your confidence.

Cleansing. Most cleansers consist of oil, water and surfactants (wetting agents). Oil and surfactants extract dirt and oil from your skin and water then flushes it out, which makes the skin clean. Try a few different ones until you find the one that works best for you. You should always use soap-free cleansers. Also, you should use Luke warm water for cleansing (hot and cold water, both, cause damage to your skin). To keep your skin looking younger, do not overdue the cleansing, you may strip your skin of it's natural hydration.

Exfoliation. This is a natural maintenance procedure to remove dead skin cells and replaces them with new skin cells. Exfoliation preps the skin to respond to the skin care products. This procedure will also give your skin a nice boost and helps the skin looking younger, glowing and fresh.

3-4 times per week is sufficient for those with normal or oily skin and 1 or twice for those with sensitive or dry skin.

Moisturizers. This is the key ingredient in keeping skin looking younger. Moisturizers help to seal in moisture and pulls moisture from the air why under hydrated. Be careful not to pack it on though, it will clog your pores and may create skin problems you don’t need. Most importantly use moisturizers with SPF, 15 are good and it should say UV protection.

Caring for your skin is not difficult and once you get in the habit and see the difference it makes you will continue to do it. Having your skin looking younger will make you the envy of most. If you struggle from some skin irritations, be sure to consult with a dermatologist or physician before beginning any skin care routine.

Here’s to looking beautiful
